God has been doing some amazing things in guiding and directing us toward the future for Heartland Church! This past Sunday, May 19, we had an important meeting after church to communicate what we sense that God has been up to. We recognize that not everyone was able to make it to the meeting so we recorded it so those who were unable to attend could check it out. Check out the video below.

1. Putting Christ at the Center of Everything
* God was never meant to be just a part of our lives, but to be at the center of every part of our lives. Therefore we will strive to align our desires with His will and to put Christ at the center of everything we think, speak, and do.
2. Uniting Together in Authentic Community
* We were never meant to journey through life alone. The Bible teaches over and over again that God created us to be in authentic relationship with others and we cannot live “healthy” lives apart from each other. We believe the best life, the life God intended for us to live, is experienced as we unite together in authentic community.
3. Learning Transformational Living
* Learning what it means to follow Jesus is not just about growing in knowledge, but growing in a way that impacts our lives and causes us to live more like Jesus wants us to live. We are continually giving over those areas of our life that need to be changed and we are striving to reflect the heart of Christ in every area of our life.
4. Serving Christ with the Gifts He Has Given Us
* The Bible says God has gifted us to do specific things that he has prepared in advance for us to do. We experience the fullness of life as we use our God-given gifts with passion and purpose.
5. Expanding God’s Kingdom through Missional Living
* As followers of Jesus, we are Christ’s ambassadors, commissioned to take the message of the Gospel to the world in both word and deed. Therefore, we need to take advantage of every opportunity to be Christ-like in the situations we find ourselves in.
